Forever ... and a day
Mediaeval Baebes are a successful, classical-crossover vocal ensemble, who sing in an array of ancient and obscure languages, using traditional instrumentation and complex harmonies to produce luscious, ethereal enchantments and rousing, anthemic incantations, which play to everyone’s romantic idea of the past.
Having topped the UK Classical Album charts, their collaborations with the composer Martin Phipps also gained them an Ivor Novello Award for the soundtrack to the BBC serialisation ‘The Virgin Queen’, and two Emmy nominations, alongside a Royal Television Society Award, for the theme tune to the ITV series ‘Victoria’.

Mediaeval Baebes have been in existence for over a quarter of a century, and although they continue to produce new albums year on year, Mediaeval Baebes Forever looks back over their illustrious career and reevaluates the incredible body of work produced over the last three decades, whilst toasting the accomplishments of the beautiful, fiercely intelligent and feisty females behind its creation.
